On a cold December day 1917, Lady Ottoline Morrell has crossed Bedford Square to call on Millicent Fawcett to express her condolences for the loss of a beloved sister. As patroness of the Bloomsbury Group, Ottoline’s vast circle of friends includes Prime Ministers and novelists, painters and philosophers, whilst Millicent has dedicated her life to the crusade for women’s suffrage. Will these two find common ground, shared values?
