Thanet Cat Club, founded in 1977, is a local charity for the rehoming of rescued and abandoned cats and kittens. In the early days we had to find foster homes to look after stray cats until permanent homes were found but we are now very proud of our cattery built with kind donations given to us for the care of the cats. Both the cattery and shop are staffed entirely by fantastic, hard working volunteers. Anyone with a couple of spare hours a week who would like to volunteer either in the shop or the cattery are welcome to pop into the shop or phone the cattery manager to make an appointment and make you welcome. The proceeds from our shop help towards the payment of our monthly vet bills and food for the cats, as well as any other money raised, therefore the shop is always grateful for any donated goods, clothes, bric-a-brac etc.
